The real 'Maserati A6G Frua Gran Sport' was delivered in 1952, being the only GT built by coachbuilder Frua on the A6 chassis. Today this unique car is in poor condition - engine, seats and many other parts are missing.
I found it perfect for a personal 3D project and to show it in its original beauty. The model was completed last year after working on it for quite a long time. C4D has been used for creating and rendering. The background is a photograph, taken in Venice by Italian photographer Clara Natoli. Along with compositing some filtering was done to imitate the glossy advertising style of the 1950's.
I hope you like it...
I would like to thank Clara Natoli (Rome) for her kind agreement with using her photographs in my presentation, Stefan Dierkes (Germany) for reference photography and for his advices, and Jarl de Boer (California), (now recent) owner of the car, for reference photos and for his help with the missing measurements.
